English burlwood campaign desk and associated chair. 19th century. Black leather inset top with fold-out writing stand, three drawers, two doors concealing a shelf and four drawers respectively. False drawers and doors are set on opposite side of desk. Key is not included. J.A. Lewis Proprietor of London label on inside of central drawer. Marks, wear, scratches and wear throughout leather and wood of top. Crack to wood on back of writing stand. Small losses to veneer on top of desk. Crack and split to wood on front left corner of left pedestal. Cracks to veneer on doors. Wear and scuffs throughout wood of desk. Scuffs, wear and nicks throughout wood of chair.
Desk: 47 1/2" W x 26" D x 29 1/2". Chair: 16 1/2" W x 19 1/4" D x 35 1/4" H. Seat height 17 3/4" H. 113 lbs total.
