Arthur Bowen Davies (American, 1862-1928). Oil on board, wooded landscape. Stamped A.B. Davies twice on verso, and with Doyle and Sotheby’s auction labels on verso. 9 1/2" x 12 1/2" (with frame 14 7/8" x 17 7/8"). Horizontal scratch across center of painting, board loose in frame, chips and losses to frame. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
