2 beaded whimsies. Frame, 10 1/4" x 8 1/2" (opening 4" x 2 1/4"); bird, "Bird" written in beadwork across the tail feathers and 1901 written in beadwork on the reverse, Sotheby’s paper label, 8 1/4"L x 7"H. Frame with loose and missing beads, loose threads, chips, creases and losses to the cardboard, no back; bird with staining and discoloration to fabric. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
