Embroidered and fabric panel, Egyptian motif. 29 1/2" x 23" (with frame 36 1/4" x 26 1/2"). Small holes throughout, fabric arms missing from figure, some fraying to thread below sphinx and losses to thread on leaves, staining to right side, tears to fabric on verso, tears and losses to velvet on frame lower left and right corners and throughout. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
