Russian 84 (.875) silver and painted oklad icon. Hallmarked 84, St. Petersburg, Viktor Vasilyevich Savinksy, 1869 with HH maker’s mark. In fitted leather case. Icon 92 grams total, 3 3/4" x 3". Crazing to painted sections of face and hands, wear to velvet backing, wear to leather on exterior of case, wear and losses to lining of case. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
