2 West African animal wood carvings. Yoruba diviner’s box, animal form with cowrie shells, 17 1/2"L x 9 1/2"H; Senufo turtle / tortoise form stool, 15 1/4"L x 3 1/4"H. Box with large chips to the rim, shells missing from one side; both with scratches and chips. Provenance: Estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff.
