Teodora Blanco Nunez (Mexican, 1928-1980). Pair of Mexican folk art pottery figures. Figure riding elephant, unsigned, 7 3/4"L x 10 5/8"H; figure riding mule, signed T.B. on one side, 6 1/2"L x 9"H. Apparent repair to elephant’s front foot, figure on mule chips to crown and flower on front of crown.Provenance: The estate of Fred Leighton, New York City. Fred Leighton was a jeweler and the owner of Fred Leighton, a jewelry store on Madison Avenue in New York City.
