Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III) (Japanese, 1786-1864). Woodblock print, Geisha. Signed lower right. 14" x 9 3/4" (with frame 19 3/4" x 15 1/4"). Toning and discoloration to paper throughout, small tears lower right, creases to paper throughout; frame with scratches and chips, split along left side, separating at corners.Provenance: The estate of Fred Leighton, New York City. Fred Leighton was a jeweler and the owner of Fred Leighton, a jewelry store on Madison Avenue in New York City.
