Japanese carved wood two panel screen, with bone and mother-of-pearl inlays. Scenes of birds and flowers, with figural scenes on the reverse. 61 1/2"L x 69"H open. Chips and losses to sections of inlay throughout, chip to wood on top corner on one side, splits and cracks to panels on both sides, horizontal split to wood on one side.Provenance: The estate of Fred Leighton, New York City. Fred Leighton was a jeweler and the owner of Fred Leighton, a jewelry store on Madison Avenue in New York City.
