Carved teakwood chest, with bone and wood inlays of animals and flowers, figural foo dog feet. With one drawer. 52 1/2"L x 26 3/4"W x 30 3/8"H. (without feet 42 1/4"L x 25 1/2"W x 26 1/4"H). Splits to wood on top, veneer cracked and chipped on front and sides, veneer warped on one side, section of inlay cracked on one side, splits and minor chips to foo dogs, cracks and splits to the interior, chips to inlaid flowers on front, splits and holes in drawer bottom.Provenance: The estate of Fred Leighton, New York City. Fred Leighton was a jeweler and the owner of Fred Leighton, a jewelry store on Madison Avenue in New York City.
