19th century mourning pin / pendant. Gold tone frame, inscribed "Francis Gibbons born July 15th 1829 died February 18th 1861. With portrait miniature and hairwork encapsulated on the reverse. Portrait unsigned. 2 1/8"L. Wear throughout, scratch to glass on portrait side, pin detached (present) and clasp partially missing.
