After Nathaniel Sichel (German, 1843-1907). Orientalist style oil on canvas, after Sichel’s The Lute Player. Signed lower left P. Maurice and with Jean Marie Gallery label on verso. 23 1/2" x 15 1/2" (with frame 29 1/2" x 21 1/4"). Diagonal tear lower right, rectangular hole and paint loss upper left, discoloration throughout; chips and losses to frame.
