Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). The Boy Friend (film). Group of 4 pieces original set design artwork. Mixed media, with ink and gouache, 3 on paper and 1 on tracing paper. With a painted color guide. Greek Dance Garden each sheet 16 1/2" x 23". All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the film The Boy Friend, MGM, 1971. Twiggy won two Golden Globes – Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy and Most Promising Newcomer – for her performance, and the film was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. Tony Walton would later do the sets for regional theater productions of The Boy Friend, in 2003 and 2005.
