Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Pippin. Set model, with additional model pieces. Mixed media with acrylic, paper, wood and other materials. 15 1/2"W x 8 1/2"H. As is and in production used condition, and with missing, loose or otherwise damaged pieces. Created and by compiled by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Pippin, Imperial Theatre, 1972-1977; and the West End production, Her Majesty’s Theatre, 1973. In 1973 Tony Walton won both the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design and the Tony for Best Scenic design for his work on the Broadway production. The show ran for 1,944 performances.
