Group of memorabilia, notes and other papers and ephemera. 5 programs for the Broadway production, 4 Norrebros Teater (Copenhagen) programs, 2 Aarhus Teater (Aarhus) programs, 2 programs for the Broadway revival, 2 vocal selection books – 1 hardcover, Tony Walton’s copy of the Samuel French published play and a copy of Maurine Watkins’ Chicago, a copy of the Newmarket Pictorial Moviebook Chicago, a framed Playbill cover with a handwritten notation on verso "First night gift from John Kander & Fred Ebb", 20+ Chicago stickers, a needlepoint pillow, and a small portfolio containing typed copies of the scene by scene breakdown, Tony Walton’s handwritten prop list and a typed prop list, other typed notes, negatives for various reference images, and a copy of a handwritten letter from Tony Walton to the producers for the prospective Copenhagen production dated July 3rd ’91. Portfolio 11" x 15". All as is, with wear, losses, creases, books all with bumped corners, discoloration. Compiled by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Chicago, 46th Street Theatre, 1975-1977; and subsequent touring productions. Tony Walton designed the sets and the poster for the show. He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Scenic Design in 1976 for his work on the production.
