Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Group of 15 prints. 6 sheets of scene-by-scene breakdown photos, 4 Minstrel prints, 5 Theatre Box prints. With a folder of copies of technical drawings. Breakdown sheets 28 3/4" x 19 1/2". All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Tony Walton left the production during out-of-town tryouts in Philadelphia, and when the show eventually made it to Broadway, it was mostly without his designs. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue ran for a total of 13 previews and 7 performances at the Mark Hellinger Theatre in 1976.
