Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Equus (film). Horse head skull on a metal stake. Metal pole, leather, yarn, metal and leather, composition and Styrofoam skull. 30"L. Cracks and larger sections missing from skull, fraying to yarn, wear to leather. Created by Tony Walton for the film Equus, United Artists, 1977. Tony Walton was the production and costume designer for the film. In 2010, he directed the regional theatre production of the show at the John Drew Theatre at Guild Hall, East Hampton, New York
