Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). A Day in Hollywood / A Night in the Ukraine. Set model, mixed media with acrylic, gouache, cardboard, wood and other materials. 30 1/2"L x 17 3/4" x 17 3/4"H. As is and in production used condition, and with missing and loose pieces. All created and compiled by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of A Day in Hollywood / A Night in the Ukraine, John Golden Theatre, 1980-81. Tony Walton was nominated for the Tony Award for Scenic Design in 1980. The show was also nominated for Best Musical and director and choreographer Tommy Tune won the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for his work on the production.
