Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Moliere’s L’Amour medecin (The Love Doctor). Set design, Interior Bottles #8, c. 1959. Mixed media with watercolor, acrylic and ink on paper. Mark Borghi label with info on verso, exhibited Mark Borghi, Sag Harbor, New York, "A Christmas Carol to Tony Walton", December 2021-February 2022. 19 3/4" x 25 3/4" (with frame 23 3/4" x 30 1/4"). Waviness to paper throughout, as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for "Moliere Musical Project" – Wright & Forrest, The Love Doctor, c. 1959. The show was eventually produced in London in 1959, but it does not appear that Tony Walton was involved.
