Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum (film). Portfolio of costume design materials including original artwork and prints, notes. 3 pieces original costume design artwork, mixed media with gouache, ink and pencil on paper, Vibrata (Myrna White), Gymnasia (Inga Neilsen) and Lycus No. 4, Gymnasia sheet 22" x 14 3/4". With a group of 23 rough costume sketches, most pencil on tracing paper with some ink washes, various characters; 3 pages of handwritten lists, 3 painted mounted color breakdowns, 20 black and white prints of costume designs for various characters, and an advertising poster for the film. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the film A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, United Artists, 1966. Tony Walton was both the costume and production designer for the film.
