Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). To the Beatles (ballet). Group of set design artwork and research materials, papers. 19 pieces original set design artwork, including backdrops, projections, various mediums, including printed paper, collage. All except "Tabs" with tracing paper overlay with handwritten notations, "Tabs" with notations on the mount. With 13 additional printed paper design elements, and a group of postcards, negatives, magazine and newspaper materials on the Beatles, copies of Beatles photos, and a blueprint for the San Francisco Opera House. "Tabs" 15 3/4" x 13 5/8" including mount. All created and compiled by Tony Walton for the ballet production of To The Beatles, San Francisco Ballet, San Francisco CA, 1984. The show was choreographed by Michael Smuin.
