Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Waiting for Godot. Group of 21 pieces original set design artwork. 12 paint elevations, gouache on paper, 4 mounted and with additional notations on the mounts. With a color guide, 8 sketches, a typed prop list, 40+ reference photos, 50+ before and after and set construction photos, and a folder of reference materials. Paint Detail A 15" x 40 1/8" including mount. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the off-Broadway production of Waiting for Godot, Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater at Lincoln Center, 1988. The show starred Steve Martin as Vladimir and Robin Williams as Estragon.
