Lend Me a Tenor. Portfolio containing photos, notes, sketches, research and reference materials, and other papers related to the production. 140+ photos mounted in manila folders, reference for various set elements, costumes; 3 folders containing reference materials, notes and other production papers; folder of opera house reference material; folder containing furniture reference materials and original sketches, 20 original pencil on tracing paper rough sketches of various set design elements and 8 additional photocopied pages of the same images. Folders each 14 3/4" x 9". All as is and in production used condition. Compiled and created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of Lend Me a Tenor, Royale Theatre, 1989-1990. Tony Walton was nominated for the 1989 Tony for Best Scenic Design for his work on the show, and Lend Me a Tenor was nominated for Best Play the same year.
