Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). She Loves Me. Acrylic and gouache on board, set design artwork for Amalia’s bed headboard and bedside cabinets. With notations by Tony Walton in gold ink. Mark Borghi label with info on verso, exhibited Mark Borghi, Sag Harbor, New York, "A Christmas Carol to Tony Walton", December 2021-February 2022. 13 1/2" x 15" (with frame 17 3/4" x 19 1/2"). As is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of She Loves Me, Roundabout Theatre (and later the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, and then the Savoy Theatre in London), 1993-1994. Tony Walton was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Scenic Design in a Play or Musical, and the show was nominated for Best Revival of a Musical in 1994.
