Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). She Loves Me. 2 portfolios of artwork, photos and papers. Portfolio 1: poster artwork, 8 pieces of original artwork, including sketches for lettering, ink and pencil drawing, colored pencil drawing, with 70+ prints and photocopies of the poster and various design elements, and a lobby card for the show. Portfolio 2: 85 pencil sketches of various sets, lettering, and other design elements, mostly on tracing paper and some on acetate, with multiple photocopies, 4 folders of notes and reference materials, photographs. Lobby card 22" x 14". All as is and in production used condition. Created and compiled by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of She Loves Me, Roundabout Theatre (and later the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, and then the Savoy Theatre in London), 1993-1994. Tony Walton was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Scenic Design in a Play or Musical, and the show was nominated for Best Revival of a Musical in 1994.
