Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). A Grand Night for Singing. Portfolio of scenic design artwork, photos, papers. 17 pieces original set design artwork, gouache on black illustration board, each 8" x 10"; 20+ color production photos on paper, black and white cast photo, cloud drape cut out pieces and 12 Magritte reference photos, press photo of Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein II, a folder of handwritten and typed notes and other papers related to the production. With 6 A Grand Night For Singing Baltimore Broadway Series posters for a 3 week run of the show at the Morris A. Mechanic Theatre in Baltimore, MD, December-January, 1994-95. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the Broadway production of A Grand Night For Singing, Criterion Center Stage Right, Roundabout Theatre, 1993-1994. The show was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1994.
