Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Easter Parade. Set model pieces, sketches, and research and reference materials. Group of set model pieces, various mediums including ink, acrylic, cardboard, metal, wood, printed paper; largest curtain piece 8 5/8" x 12". With a portfolio of sketches and other papers, including research and reference materials. 30+ sketches, most pencil on tracing paper, and with 2 on acetate, various set design elements and with additional photocopied pages of sketches, reference materials. All as is and in production used condition. Created by Tony Walton for the proposed Broadway production of Easter Parade, c. 1997-1999. Though the show did have a 5 week rehearsal with Tommy Tune and Sandy Duncan in the lead roles originally played by Fred Astaire and Judy Garland, this version of Easter Parade never made it to Broadway.
