Tony Walton (British, 1934-2022). Carnivale. Set of 42 set model hangers and backdrops. Mixed media, including printed paper, wood, metal, acetate, black illustration board and other materials. Liquid Blue Silk Release hanger 25 1/2" x 32" (with metal hanger 36 1/2"L). All as is and in production used condition, with missing and loose pieces, some detached from metal hangers. Created by Tony Walton for the planned off-Broadway production the Carnivale Spectacular, Radio City Music Hall, 2002. In late 2001, the show was pushed back to 2003, but ultimately never actually made it to the stage.
