Boris Aronson (American, 1898-1980). Love Life. Original set design artwork, mixed media on paper. Unsigned, with a copy of a handwritten note that appears to be from Aronson’s wife Lisa Jalowetz dated Oct. 23 ’94 attached on verso: "Dear, dear Tony – A happy sunny – fun filled birthday to you!!! Although one more sketch is not exactly what you need – I can’t help it, but wanting to give you this one of Boris’s on this particular occasion. It was his idea of the ‘essence of Vaudeville’ and was the Act Curtain for ‘Love Life’ (it’s in the book). [heart heart] to you B & L." 7 3/4" x 12 3/4" (with frame 14 1/4" x 19"). Created by Boris Aronson for the Broadway production of Love Life, 46th Street Theatre, 1948-1949.
