Lot of 6 18th century leather bound books, in French and English. Pieces Derobees, A. Amsterdam, 1750, 2 volumes; The Independent Whig: or, Defence of Primitive Christianity, sixth edition, J. Peele, London, volume I only, 1735; Le Sage, Le Bachelier De Salamanque, first volume, Chez Cailleau, Paris, 1759; Francois de Salignac de la Mothe-Fenelon, Oeuvres Philosophiques (Philosophical Works), Chez L’Honore Et Chatelain, 1721; Samuel Butler, Hudibras, D. Midwinter et al., London, 1732. Independent Whig 6 5/8" x 4". All with wear and losses throughout, fraying and tears to leather, losses to spines, corners bumped, loose bindings, foxing and other discoloration to pages, Fenelon boards detached, Butler front board detached, most with writing on endpapers.
