James Thurber (American, 1894-1961). 5 books, including some signed by Thurber. The 13 clocks, illustrated by Marc Simont, Simon and Schuster, 1950; The Thurber Carnival, Harper & Brothers, 1945, signed and with inscription from Thurber on front endpaper; Thurber’s Men, Woman and Dogs, Harcourt, Brace and Company, first edition, 1943, signed and with inscription from Thurber on front endpaper; My World — And Welcome to It, Harcourt, Brace and Company, first edition, 1942; The Seal in the Bedroom and Other Predicaments, Harper & Brothers, 1950. All with original dust jackets. Seal 9" x 8". All with wear, crease, tears and losses to dust jackets, all with some shelf wear, toning to pages, writing in pencil on endpapers and pastedowns.
