Pop Culture Time Capsule: TV Memorabilia & Vintage Toys

This curated collection features seven notable Japanese toys and collectibles representing the peak of the late Showa and early Heisei eras. The assortment includes a Bandai 1/144 scale Xabungle Walker Machine Government Type plastic model kit (dated 1983); a Bandai Dragon Ball Z Super Collection No. 8 Super Saiyan Trunks 1/12 scale real type soft vinyl figure (dated 1992); a Takatoku Toys Itadakiman Kabutozemi transforming vehicle; and a Gakken Boy’s Series Gun Box-857 multi-tool station. The lot is completed by a Bullmark Zinkron Mekanda-2 jet from the Mekanda Robo series, a large-format Ultraman Super Fight (Super Excite) arena game, and a Keibunsha Ultraman Daihyakka encyclopedia containing a comprehensive set of illustrated booklets and scene cards. Construction primarily consists of molded plastic, vinyl, and cardboard, with several items featuring original styrofoam protective inserts. These items showcase the intricate engineering and vibrant box art characteristic of Japanese manufacturers like Bandai and Takatoku during the 1980s. Overall lot dimensions approximately 13 x 13 inches.
Condition: Items are in good to very good vintage condition. The Xabungle model kit is unbuilt on original plastic sprues and includes the instruction sheet. The Super Saiyan Trunks figure includes a factory-sealed bag containing the sword, accessories, and sticker sheet. The Mekanda-2 jet and Gun Box-857 appear complete with original accessories, including missiles and rotors, housed in original styrofoam. The Ultraman encyclopedia shows some external wear and scuffing to the outer slipcase but remains internally complete with numerous booklets. Packaging across the lot exhibits varying degrees of shelf wear, including edge scuffing, minor corner crushing, and some surface abrasions consistent with age and storage.
