This extensive collection of vintage E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial merchandise is primarily manufactured by LJN Toys, Ltd., dating to the original film release in 1982, with additional pieces by Applause and Resaurus Company Inc. from 1996. The centerpiece of the lot is a boxed LJN Talking Figure (model #1253) featuring a pull-string mechanism. The collection includes a large assortment of carded miniature figures from The Original Collectibles series (Assortment #1215), depicting the character in various iconic poses and costumes, including his blue robe and the blonde wig with pink dress disguise. Also featured is a carded E.T. and Spaceship Launcher (model #1248) and a 1996 Resaurus Puppet Action Toy with glow-in-the-dark features. A molded vinyl or ceramic coin bank and a small Applause boxed figure complete the lot. Construction materials include molded plastic, vinyl, and lithographed cardboard. Markings indicate manufacturing in the U.S.A. and Macao under license from Universal City Studios. Measurements for primary packaging are approximately 11 inches by 6 inches.
Condition: The items are in mixed vintage condition. Many pieces remain in their original factory packaging, though the blister cards exhibit visible shelf wear, including creasing, corner softening, and some tearing. The box for the LJN Talking Figure shows significant crushing, structural damage, and wear to the cardboard. The unboxed coin bank shows minor surface wear and paint loss. The mechanical pull-string and glow-in-the-dark features are untested. All items are sold as-is, showing signs of age and long-term storage.
