Vintage Japanese remote-controlled toy featuring the character Gappa, the winged kaiju from the 1967 film Gappa: The Triphibian Monster. This item is part of the Big Scale Remocon Monster Series, manufactured in Japan and designed with a battery-operated remote control mechanism intended to facilitate walking movement and a fire-breathing effect. Not tested. Includes original cardboard box. Box size 14.25″ H x 9.25″ W.
Condition report:
The item remains in its original packaging, which is currently protected by a clear plastic wrap. The box is in overall good condition, exhibiting light shelf wear consistent with age, specifically minor rubbing and softening at the corners and edges. The internal components appear to be present and undisturbed; however, the mechanical and electronic functions, including the walking action and fire-breathing light feature, are untested.
