Description
Chinese six panel double sided folding screen. Black lacquered body decorated with birds, lotus flowers, bamboo stalks, and weeping willows. Brass capped feet and metal hinges. 84″ H x 96″ W x 1″ D.
Condition report:
There are numerous visible chips and nicks to the black lacquer finish, particularly along the vertical edges of the panels and near the feet. Fine cracks are present in the lacquer surface. One panel shows a substantial area of lacquer loss and exposed wood on its upper edge. The brass capped feet exhibit moderate tarnishing and oxidation consistent with age.
