Description
Britain’s Mammoth Circus boxed set manufactured by W. Britain of London, England. The collection contains an assortment of hand-painted metal figures depicting various circus performers and animals. Performer figures include a ringmaster, a tamer, a stilt walker, an acrobat, and several clowns. Animal figures include elephants in standing and performing poses, tigers, horses, and a kangaroo. The figures are secured with wires to a yellow cardboard display insert. The set includes a circular blue-painted circus ring accessory. Box size 2″ H x 19″ W x 14″ D.
Condition report:
The hand-painted figures exhibit varying degrees of paint loss and surface wear consistent with age. The original orange cardboard box shows significant shelf wear, including edge damage, paper loss, and multiple tape repairs. The yellow display insert shows minor staining and wear at the wire attachment points.
