Description
53 pieces of Alain Saint-Joanis French flatware. Collection includes dinner and dessert knives, forks, and spoons of multiple sizes, all contained within a wooden cutlery tray. Handle styles include a textured diamond-patterned body accented by acanthus leaf motifs and a smooth, vertically fluted handle. Knife blades inscribed Alain Saint-Joanis France. A stamped mark in a rectangular cartouche on a handle reads (95%), indicating the handles are likely made of high-tin content pewter. The functional ends of the pieces appear to be stainless steel or silverplate. Tray 2″ H x 18″ L x 11 3/4″ D. Largest utensil 10 1/4″ L.

Observed conditions include surface scratches, water spots on the metal functional ends, and areas of tarnish on the pewter handles.
