Description
Two vintage cold-cast porcelain assembly kits produced by Dark Horse Comics in the mid-1990s. The first is an Alien 3 limited edition model, Kit No. 22-298, produced in 1/8 scale and dated 1994. The second is a Ray Harryhausen’s King Kong model, Kit No. 22-756, produced in 1/48 scale. Both kits contain unassembled and unpainted porcelain components. The King Kong kit includes original styrofoam inserts, printed instructions, hardware including metal chains and eye bolts in plastic packets, and a 1994 promotional flyer. Largest item 9″ H x 10″ W x 10″ D.
Condition report:
The Alien 3 kit is housed in its original pictorial box and remains partially encased in original shrink wrap, though the plastic is torn along the bottom edge. The King Kong kit is presented in an open box. Interior components for both kits appear to be in excellent, unused condition. The boxes show minor shelf wear and light scuffing consistent with age.
