Description
Automatic folding combination tool manufactured by the Press Button Knife Co. of Walden, New York. Features a single steel blade designed with a curved cutting edge ending in a three-tine fork. The handle is shaped in a pistol-grip style and features embossed metal scales decorated with Victorian-era scrollwork. Blade tang marked Pressbutton Knife Co Walden, NY. 8 1/2″ L, open.
Condition report:
Steel blade exhibits significant dark oxidation and surface pitting throughout. There are visible signs of historical sharpening and use. The metal handle scales show wear to the high points of the embossed relief and loss of plating, revealing a darker base metal.
