Description
Two pieces of sterling silver tableware. The first is a Wallace serving dish, stamped on the underside with a stag head and model number W.W. 523. The second is a George III rectangular entree dish lid by Philip Smithman and Co with five hallmarks on the lower edge: a rectangular P.S. & Co shield, a crown for Sheffield, a lion passant, a George III duty mark, and a lowercase t for the year 1816. 1,300 grams total. Largest item 7″ H x 11″ W.
Condition report:
Both pieces exhibit a natural aged patina and minor surface tarnish. The chasing on the entree lid remains crisp. The Wallace dish shows light surface wear consistent with age and use.
