Victor Thall (American, 1902-1983). Oil on canvas, expressionist study of musicians. Signed and dated Thall ’61 lower right. 7 3/8" x 9 1/2" sight size, 12 1/2" x 14 1/2" with frame.

Condition report:
The painting exhibits areas of craquelure within the thicker paint applications and a light layer of surface dust. The ornate gilded frame shows multiple small losses to the carved elements, particularly along the outer edges and corners, along with some cracking to the gesso and general age-related wear.
