Description

An assortment of international numismatic items featuring a quantity of loose world coins and several paper banknotes. The collection includes coinage in copper, silver-colored, and bi-metallic compositions from issuers including the UK, FR, and Mexico. Commemorative coins in protective holders include a 1981 UK Prince of Wales and Lady Diana commemorative, a year 2000 Republic of Liberia 100 Dollars, a year 2000 Niue Elizabeth II commemorative, a John F. Kennedy Jr. 10 Dollar issue, a Mayflower 1620-1970 commemorative, and an 1863 Gettysburg 5 Dollar commemorative.

The banknote collection contains approximately twenty examples from various countries including South Africa (10 and 20 Rand), Chile (1000 Pesos), Italy (1000 and 5000 Lire), Mexico (10 and 20 Nuevos Pesos), Israel (1 and 5 Lira), France (20 Francs), Spain (2000 Pesetas), Argentina (100 Pesos), Greece (1000 Drachmai), China (10 Dollars), Luxembourg (50 Francs), and a 1914 German 5 Mark Darlehnskassenschein.

Condition report:

Loose world coinage ranges from heavily circulated to very fine condition. Coins in protective holders appear uncirculated or proof-like. Banknotes exhibit varying degrees of circulation including creasing, corner folds, edge wear, and surface soiling. One 1000 Drachmai note features handwritten ink notations on the obverse.
