Description
Staffordshire treacly-glazed ceramic bear baiting jug. The piece features a detachable lid formed by the bear’s head and a stylized animal-form handle at the rear. Appears unsigned. 11″ H x 5″ W x 9 1/2″ D.

Condition report:
This item exhibits significant damage and professional restoration. Visible repairs and overpainted cracks are present on the neck of the detachable head, throughout the main body, and across the base. The base appears to have undergone extensive reconstruction. A large horizontal crack is visible on the side of the body.
