Description
Group of nine carved wooden figures in the tradition of Yoruba ere ibeji from West Africa. Several decorated with strands of multicolored beads and cowrie shells. Largest figure 11" H x 3" W x 3 1/2" D.

Condition report:
Several figures have prominent vertical age cracks in the wood, particularly in the torsos and bases. One figure exhibits significant wood loss to the upper portion of the head. General surface abrasions, small chips, and wear to the pigment and beadwork are present throughout the group.
