Description
Solidus Franz Frenzel figural bird pocket knife from Solingen, Germany with a figural handle and a multi-colored glitter and marbled finish. The single-edged steel blade is stamped on the tang. One metallic bolster is incised with the characters GES GESCH, a German abbreviation for Gesetzlich Geschützt. Closed 2 3/4″ L, open 4 1/2″ L.
Condition report:
The steel blade exhibits significant oxidation and pitting. Adhesive residue from a previous label is present on the blade surface. The decorative handle shows minor loss to the glitter finish and surface wear consistent with age. Mechanical functionality was not tested.
