Description
After Andy Warhol (American, 1928-1987). Large-scale screenprint on board, portrait of Marilyn Monroe. The work is unsigned and unnumbered, lacking any visible publisher or printer marks on the front or reverse. 52 x 52 inches.
Condition report:
Numerous vertical and horizontal handling creases and indentations are present through the central portion of the image. The edges and corners are heavily worn with scuffing, bumping, and localized loss to the pink ink layer. The reverse shows extensive evidence of previous mounting, including adhesive residue, Velcro-style fasteners, and surface tearing from tape removal.
