Description

Two commemorative watch collections produced by Swatch for the 100th anniversary of the modern Olympic Games (1896-1996). The first collection, titled The Swatch Centennial Olympic Games Collection: For Honour and Glory, is presented in a large orange folding display case. This set contains nine watches with designs inspired by Olympic history, including models named Kalos, Dolichos, Atlanta Laurels, Pyrsos, Chrysophoros, Ippolytos, Nikiphoros, Kotinos, and Thalassios. The second collection, titled Olympic Legends, is housed in a multi-fold black and silver presentation case. This set commemorates ten Olympic athletes: Saïd Aouita, Gelindo Bordin, Sebastian Coe, Nadia Comăneci, Dan Jansen, Edwin Moses, Mark Spitz, Daley Thompson, Katarina Witt, and Bob Beamon. The timepieces incorporate athlete signatures, world records, and action imagery into the straps and dial designs. All watches are marked swatch SWISS on the faces and are accompanied by their original commemorative display packaging. Orange display case 2 3/4" H x 14 3/4" W x 15" D. Condition report:

The watches appear to be in unused condition, with several still retaining factory protective plastic film over the crystals. The original display cases show minor shelf wear, including light scuffing to the exterior surfaces and small abrasions at the corners.
