Description
Two pairs of Mid-Century Modern armchairs including a pair of caned bentwood armchairs and a pair of cantilevered armchairs in the style of the Marcel Breuer B64 Cesca chair. All are unsigned. Bentwood chairs: 32 1/4″ H x 20″ W x 16 1/2″ D, seat height 18″ H. Cesca-style chairs: 30 1/4″ H x 23 3/4″ W x 20 1/2″ D, seat height 17 1/2″ H.
Condition report:
The bentwood pair shows minor surface wear and light finish loss consistent with age; the caning appears taut and undamaged. The cantilevered pair shows more significant wear, including finish chipping and loss on the ends of the wooden armrests. The velvet upholstery displays light staining and pressure marks on the upholstery. Chrome frames exhibit minor surface scratching and light oxidation typical of age and use.
