Description
Two decorative wooden occasional stands, late 19th to early 20th century. Includes an Arts and Crafts pyrography stand decorated with morning glory flowers and foliage motifs and a two-piece Chinese hardwood stand with a square top and four-legged base. Top with high-relief carved scene of two dragons chasing a flaming pearl. Pyrography stand 21″ H x 17″ W x 14 3/4″ D. Dragon stand 16″ H x 15″ W x 15″ D.
Condition report:
The pyrography shows visible scuffing and wear to the edges and feet, along with minor loss to the finish on the top surface. The carved dragon stand shows accumulated dust in the deep carvings and light fading or staining to the central circle on the top. Both pieces exhibit minor nicks and surface wear consistent with age and use.
