Description
Pair of French neoclassical style gilt metal and cut crystal wall sconces. Each fixture is constructed with a foliate-cast gilt metal backplate supporting three scrolling arms that terminate in candle nozzles and beaded drip pans. The fixtures are extensively adorned with various cut crystal elements, including faceted pear-shaped pendeloques, floral-form rosettes, and beaded garlands wired to the frame. A deep amethyst-colored faceted crystal drop is present on each fixture as a decorative accent. Each sconce 10″ H x 11 1/2″ W x 8″ D.

Condition report:
Gilt metal surfaces show minor patination, surface oxidation, and wear consistent with age and use. Cut crystal components are largely intact, with typical minor flea-bite chips to faceted edges. The amethyst-colored drops are present. The fixtures are currently configured for candles and are not wired for electricity.
